A senior European summit on UX and digital governance in regulated, complex, and high-stakes environments. Luxembourg, end of May 2027.

UX Summit Luxembourg is dedicated to a question most design events leave untouched: how user experience works where regulation, governance, risk, and compliance shape every decision. It brings together senior practitioners designing and researching digital systems in regulated organisations, in finance, healthcare, government, energy, and beyond, where design decisions carry real organisational, regulatory, and human consequences.

For the 2027 programme, we are looking for original case studies, hard-earned lessons, and practical approaches from people doing exactly that work.

Proposals are reviewed on merit only. Sponsorship plays no part in selection.

1. What we are looking for

1. What we are looking for

We want talks grounded in real work, in environments where design meets regulation, risk, and governance.

A strong proposal shows:

  • A genuine problem or challenge you encountered

  • The context in which it happened

  • The decisions and trade-offs you had to make

  • The methods or approaches you used

  • What worked

  • What did not work

  • What changed as a result

  • What others can take away from the experience

You do not need to present a perfect success story. Some of the most valuable sessions come from difficult decisions, constraints, failures, and the lessons that followed.

2. What we are not looking for

2. What we are not looking for

This is not a sales stage.

We do not accept:

  • Product demonstrations

  • Vendor pitches

  • Agency capability presentations

  • Recruitment presentations

  • Sponsored talks presented as educational content

  • Generic "future of UX" presentations

  • Content produced without genuine first-hand experience

  • Purely theoretical presentations with no practical relevance

Sponsorship and programme selection are independent. Becoming a sponsor does not grant or influence a speaking opportunity.

3. Who should submit

3. Who should submit

We select for senior, hands-on experience rather than job title alone. Proposals should come from people who have led or shaped the work, not observed it.

We welcome proposals from experienced practitioners, including:

UX Researchers, Product Designers, UX Designers, Service Designers, Design Leads, Design Managers, Heads of Design and UX, Design Directors, Principal and Staff Designers, Human Factors specialists, Accessibility specialists, DesignOps and ResearchOps practitioners, Human-AI specialists, and product and digital leaders.

We are particularly interested in people working within complex and regulated environments, such as:

Financial services, banking, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, government, European institutions, energy, manufacturing, telecommunications, critical infrastructure, and enterprise software.

4. How we select

4. How we select

  • Every proposal is read.

  • Speakers are selected on merit only.

  • Sponsorship does not influence selection.

  • Sessions are built on real project experience, combining a clear conceptual framing with how it was applied in practice.

  • Shortlisted speakers may be invited to a short conversation before a final decision.
