Lida David

Lida Z. David is a Human Factors Engineer at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH, with 8+ years of experience working, researching, and teaching Human Factors across aerospace, defence, and other mission-ciritcal domains. She holds a Ph.D in Resilience Engineering and decision-making under crisis, with her work focusing on optimising complex Human-Machine Interface design for manned-unmanned teaming environments and ensuring systems align with human capabilities.

Lida’s work goes beyond conventional approaches to visual interface design. Her focus is on translating what end-users need to see, understand, decide, and act on in mission-critical, high-consequence environments into interfaces that support, rather than compete with, human cognitive capabilities and limitations. Her work aims to enhance situation awareness, reduce operational risk, and support effective decision-making, ultimately contributing to safe and successful mission outcomes.
